What do I get in the Download?
What you will receive is a single self-extracting file, labeled saeg.exe. When you execute the downloaded file on your PC, it will expand into
six separate files labeled:
- DISTFILE.BIN - This file contains the SAE Distribution File.
- DF@DLIB.BIN - This file contains the installation JCL and utility program that is used
to install SAE from the SAE Distribution File
(DISTFILE.BIN).
- DF@DTP.BIN - This file contains the installation JCL and utility program that is used
to create an optional SAE Distribution Tape from the SAE Distribution File
(DISTFILE.BIN).
- SAE_CD.INS - This file contains IPL information for IPLing SAE from CD-ROM or Network
file on supporting processors.
- SAE_CD.IPL - This file contains SAE in a format acceptable for IPLing SAE from CD-ROM
or Network file on supporting processors.
- SAER11.PDF - This file contains the SAE Release 11 User's Guide in Adobe Acrobat
format.
What to do following the download?
When you are ready to begin your installation, you should first open the readme.txt file, review its contents carefully and follow them closely.
What to do following file extraction?
Once the files are extracted, you move DISTFILE.BIN,
DF@DLIB.BIN and DF@DTP.BIN. to your MVS Host. Then following the instructions in readme.txt, build an
SAE DLIB dataset of SAE and continue as directed.
