• August/September 2012 - Close to 300 System z professionals attended SHARE replay webcasts in the weeks following SHARE in Anaheim. Topics included Securing Your HCM, How to Detect Attempted Mainframe Intrusions, and A Better Business Strategy.
• August 9, 2012 - Jerry Seefeldt, NewEra Software's Director of Strategic Partnerships, is named to the SHARE Board of Directors. He will be responsible for the Vendor Relations portfolio.

• January 19, 2012 - FREE ICE webcast proves to be a hit. Customers and prospects attend a 45 minute webcast to learn about the new no-charge tools are available to z/OS practitioners. • January 11. 2012 - Stand Alone Environment (SAE) 15 is now generally available. SAE Users are encouraged to download this latest version.

• November 30, 2011 - NoTSO, famous for providing instant help when MVS is up but JES, VTAM and/or TSO are unavailable, is enhanced to provide problem determination and system repair by assuring access to system data sets when other tools are not.
• November 15, 2011 - The New Release Analysis tool in Image FOCUS is now available as a stand-alone product. It accurately simulates the operational environment of every available release of z/OS. It helps reduce the time it takes to migrate to a new release of z/OS by up to 50%, saving time and money.
• October 30, 2011 - IPLCheck gains traction as a no-charge but licensed and fully support product. IPLCheck works under the control of the IBM Health Checker for z/OS and provides Predictive Failure Analysis (PFA) "health checks" that evaluate z/OS configuration settings to pinpoint the causes of potential system initialization failures.
• October 14, 2011 - Canada Customs and Revenue Agency license IPLCheck.
• October 3 - 6, 2011 - NewEra Software exhibits and presents at the IBM System z University in Miami, Florida.
• September 30, 2011 - NewEra Software announces the release of Image Control Environment (ICE) 10.0 and The Control Editor (TCE) 7.5. These enhanced products provide same-day support for z/OS V1R13.
• September 25 - 28, 2011 - NewEra Software exhibits at the Midwestern IIA Conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to promote StepOne, a no-charge tool for z/OS auditors that is licensed and fully supported by NewEra. StepOne is designed specifically for Information Systems Auditors facing the challenge of auditing the IBM System z platform.

• August 7 - 12, 2011 - NewEra Software exhibits and presents four sessions and conducts one Hands-on lab at SHARE in Orlando.
• July 20, 2011 - Blue Cross Blue Shield - Mississippi is the latest BCBS organization to become licensees of NewEra Software products.
• July 20, 2011 - A major international financial institution has signed a worldwide agreement to license NewEra Software products. The agreement expands the use of all NewEra products from North America to all sites around the world.
• June 12 - 14, 2011 - NewEra Software is once again a Platinum Sponsor at the Enterprise Computing Community (ECC) National Conference at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. The Conference consists of academic partners and corporate sponsors dedicated to revitalizing the undergraduate curriculum in enterprise computing.
• June 10, 2011 - NewEra Software announced that it is stepping up its support for the IBM Health Checker for z/OS. NewEra is providing an ongoing educational initiative started at SHARE in Anaheim where it will provide, free of charge, its IBM Health Checker for z/OS Lab to qualified z/OS installations. The Lab will also be presented again at SHARE in Orlando on August 9, 2011 at 1:30 pm. NewEra is also offering its IPLCheck application to qualified z/OS installations at no charge. Interested z/OS systems programmers may request the Lab and/or information on IPLCheck by sending an email to support@newera.com.
• June 10, 2011 - Following a plan of mutual cooperation, NewEra Software, Inc. announced today that Marist College has joined its Higher Education Outreach Initiative. Under the Initiative, Marist College has installed NewEra's Image Control Environment (ICE). Marist will use ICE as a platform for training resident and virtual students. The primary focus of the training is to provide students with a real-time virtual environment where they can build and test IBM z/OS Operating System configurations. Supporting Labs are being cooperatively designed to enhance web-based training and to provide a fast track for students to familiarize themselves with the operational aspects of z/OS, the primary zEnterprise Operating System. NewEra is actively seeking additional partners and hopes to expand its Outreach Initiative to other educational institutions around the world. NewEra provides its software tools and the requisite software support to participants in the Initiative as a public service to the IBM zCommunity. • June 2, 2011 - StepOne is introduced to the NewEra customer base and gets instant support. Image Control Environment and The Control Editor users see the benefits of using StepOne to produce reports that will help their auditors better perform their reviews. StepOne is unique in that it uses information gathered about the IODF, the absolute zEnterprise control point, to establish a baseline from which to begin a z/OS audit.
• May 17-18 2011 - NewEra Software exhibits and presents at the ISACA NA CACS in Las Vegas. NewEra also introduces StepOne, a software tool fully supported and licensed to the zCommunity at no charge that will help systems programmers prepare for an audit review and help auditors accelerate their understanding of the zPlatform.
• April 28, 2011 - NewEra webcasts of Using the IBM Health Checker for z/OS to Sustain System Integrity have drawn worldwide attendance in the hundreds. These free training sessions offer attendees a free lab that will help them install and optimize the IBM Health Checker for z/OS in their installations.
• March 29, 2011 - Zions Management Services Company has licensed Image FOCUS, the Subsystem Inspectors, the Supplementals and The Control Editor to better manage their z/OS change management processes.
• March 4, 2011 - NewEra Software exhibited and presented at SHARE in Anaheim. Paul Robichaux's session on Using the IBM Health Checker for z/OS to Sustain System Integrity drew an audience of 43 SHARE attendees. NewEra plans to offer that session in webcasts in the coming months.
• February 28 - March 4, 2011 - NewEra Software will exhibit at SHARE in Anaheim, demonstrating its latest versions of Image FOCUS and The Control Editor.

Gordon Daniel, NewEra Director of Software Development will present Configuring Health Checker for z/OS Hands-on Lab.
• February 14, 2011 - The Control Editor now includes the following enhancements: an Event Notification Service that provides real-time change detection and monitoring; support for the primary edit commands (EDIF): COPY, CREATE, MOVE, and REPLACE; and a new quick search function that allows users to easily identify changes by User, Controlled Member or Command, and Event type.
• February 14, 2011 - Image FOCUS 9.1 is now GA. Major enhancements include message Filtering, IPL Start Parameter Determination and establishment of The Controls Environment by automatically posting IFO Inspection reports to Control Journals in The Control Editor.
• January 19, 2011 - Nationwide adds Image FOCUS to its Ohio data center.
• January 4, 2011 - NewEra announces it will participate in the following Conferences and Exhibitions in 2011: Guide SHARE Europe, SHARE in Anaheim, the North America Computer Audit, Control and Security Conference (NACACS), the 25th Annual Vanguard Security Conference, and SHARE in Orlando.
• December 15, 2010 - NewEra caps off strong year by announcing major enhancements to Image FOCUS and The Control Editor. The enhancements will go GA in February 2011.
• November 15, 2010 - Image FOCUS adds performance enhancements for HFS/ZFS journals.
• October 21, 2010 - State of Ohio OIT has licensed Fast DASD Erase.
• October 7, 2010 - First Data extends its license for and the Subsystem Inspectors to all of its North American data centers. Image FOCUS and the Subsystem Inspectors are Image Control Environment (ICE) applications.
• October 4, 2010 - Overheard at the IBM System z Technical University - Attendee: "What makes Image FOCUS different from other products?" Image FOCUS User: "No other product does what Image FOCUS does." This unsolicited testimonial from an Image FOCUS user was followed by the user explaining how his data center could not live without having Image FOCUS inspecting, monitoring and reporting on changes made to their z/OS operating system, JES, VTAM, and TCP/IP.
• October 4-6, 2010 - NewEra Software exhibited and presented at the IBM System z Technical University in Boston. Glennon Bagsby's presentation on enhancements to The Control Editor generated an immediate trial of the Image Control Environment and The Control Editor by a major bank.
• September 22, 2010 - NewEra Software announced that Image Control Environment 9.0 (ICE 9.0) is generally available and that it included same day support for IBM Corporation's z/OS V1R12. Numerous enhancements were made to ICE 9.0 and to The Control Editor 7.0 (TCE 7.0). The Control Editor now includes a new configuration option that supports the real-time notification of events via email. This is significant in that users can now be made aware of all changes made immediately.
• September 20, 2010 - KfW Bankengruppe has licensed The Control Editor to augment their use of the Image Control Environment.
• September 7, 2010 - NewEra Software announced it will exhibit at the IBM System z Technical University in Boston on October 4-6, 2010. Glennon Bagsby of NewEra will also present a session on The Control Editor during the conference on Tuesday, October 5 at 2:30 pm.
• August 25, 2010 - Ohio Public Employee Retirement licensed two ICE tools - Image FOCUS and the Subsystem Inspectors.
• August 13, 2010 - IBM updated its Redpaper titled "z/OS Planned Outage Avoidance Checklist" and it can be found at a new URL - http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg247328.html NewEra's products - SAE and Image FOCUS - are listed in a checklist of IPL avoidance tools on page 118 and Image FOCUS is recommended on page 123 and the Redpaper notes that Image FOCUS expands IBM's syntax checking capabilities and provides enriched functionality on page 124.
• August 10, 2010 - Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware adds the Stand Alone Environment (SAE) to its Image FOCUS license.
• August 2-5, 2010 - NewEra Software exhibits and presents at SHARE in Boston. Paul Robichaux's session - Using the IBM Health Checker for z/OS to Improve Compliance and Security Integrity - is chosen by SHARE to be recorded for later playback to the entire SHARE membership.
• July 29, 2010 - First Merit licenses the following components of the Image Control Environment: Image FOCUS, the Subsystem Inspectors, the Supplemental Inspectors, The Control Editor and Image SENTRY. First Merit has been an SAE customer for years.
• July 28, 2010 - Western Reserve Group licenses Fast DASD Erase for VSE (FDE for VSE) to erase DASD after Disaster Recovery (DR) tests.
• June 13-15, 2010 - NewEra Software is a Platinum Sponsor at the Enterprise Computing Community (ECC) National Conference at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. The Conference consists of academic partners and corporate sponsors dedicated to revitalizing the undergraduate curriculum in enterprise computing. • May 19, 2010 - FBI-CJIS adds The Control Editor, the Supplemental Inspectors and Image SENTRY to its license for Image FOCUS and the Subsystem Inspectors.
• May 1, 2010 - NewEra Software introduces IPLCheck, a stand alone system software product designed to help users of the IBM z/OS operating system manage and protect the integrity and security of their operating system environment and critical business applications. IPLCheck works with and under the control of the IBM health Checker for z/OS.
• March 30, 2010 - Jack Henry & Associates licenses Image FOCUS and the Subsystem Inspectors, two components of the Image Control Environment (ICE).
• March 14-18, 2010 - NewEra Software exhibits and presents at SHARE in Seattle.
• March 10, 2010 - Version 6.0 of the IODF Explorer is introduced.
