NewEra announcements 2009 - 2005:
- December 1, 2009 - NewEra Software adds a CICS module to it Subsystem Inspectors, allowing users to track changes to CICS definitions.
- December 1, 2009 - NewEra Software adds a CICS module to its Image SENTRY application. The DFHz Explorer provides functionality that gives the CICS installation the ability to provide full reporting on whether a CICS region is set up in a way that it would pass an audit, whether external such as Sarbox or SAS70, or internal. This means that any CICS installation can be checked before any issues are flagged as audit points. This functionality is not available in native CICS.

SHARE has once again selected "z/OS Audit Points: The Obvious and Not-So-Obvious" to be presented in Seattle. The presentation will be updated to include audit points for companies that need to "deploy file integrity monitoring software to alert personnel to unauthorized modification of critical system or content files" such as PCI 11.5 and the NAIC Model Audit Rule (MAR). NewEra Software's ICE and Control Editor address these issues as well as audit rules found in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX, Sarbox) and SAS 70.
- November 20, 2009 - Madison Gas and Electric licensed Stand Alone Environment (SAE) for erasing data at the end of Disaster Recovery (DR) tests and when decommissioning DASD.
